Marketplace Missions
Marketplace Missions, Inc., founded in 1995 by Dr. Apostle Segun Masha and Dr. Pastor Shade Masha, is as a faith-based 501c3 organization addressing the religious, educational and charitable needs of poor and disenfranchised people, including seniors, women and young people.
Our non-profit originally began as a local outreach, serving the Grady Homes district of Atlanta, Georgia, but by 2001 the vision began to expand to the entire Metro-Atlanta area. We were able to empower individuals and community-based organizations with training, material resources and start-up supports to replicate our efforts in Gwinnett, Dekalb, Cobb and other parts of Fulton County, Georgia. By 2007 our organization had evolved further into a comprehensive resource center, creating platforms for non-profits to collaborate and gain access to resources, training and networking.
Throughout the years since, Marketplace Missions has only continued to expand in function and reach. What began as a local outreach only continued to grow into what is now a global mission. We have served those in the Mozambique, the Dominican Republic, Peru, El Salvador, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Nigeria.
Our dedication to serving the community has afforded us the privilege of meeting spiritual, mental and physical needs of thousands including providing toys, clothing, and over 1.8 million pounds of food to the homeless, to children and to over 15,000 families in need. Prayer, counseling, mentorship and training have been offered to over 2,500 individuals far and wide, and the growing education and youth empowerment initiatives, including sponsoring 1,000 Nigerian students with school and testing fees, continue to expand the breadth of our mission. With continued public and private sector partnerships blossoming, the future is bright for Marketplace Missions as we equip and empower individuals to one day positively impact the social, economic and political sectors around them.
